A Pause for Centering: A Personal and Global Modality for Positive ((Heart)) Energy
On the personal level, this modality activates the heart, balances and entrains all the systems of your body so that they work together in more harmonious
communication. It supports feeling grounded, supported, creates greater ability to problem-solve and sense of well-being.
It also stimulates the immune system, creating greater health. Doing this modality only takes a few moments and can be used in any stressful situation or as a meditation.
On the relationship level, this modality promotes a greater sense of connection and understanding. The heart’s and brain’s elecromagnetic fields expand during this modality and for a few hours!
Research has shown that when you are coming from your heart, you are much more likely to be able to listen, hear the messages delivered, understand and feel understood.
Simply doing this modality before a stressful situation or expected communication can have a powerful effect on the quality of that meeting or communication for all parties involved.
On the community and global levels, once your heart’s energy field is expanded, this modality can send heart energy to anyone and any place you feel needs support. Through the Unified Field of connection, this modality can create greater connection to heart energy, compassion, and love. With this benefit, the emotional, mental, physical and spirit level issues of situation are bathed in the nurture from your heart energy.
Here’s How:
1) Start by centering yourself. Become aware of any areas of your body where you feel tense. Allow your body to relax by moving any part that needs to feel more comfortable.
2) Close your eyes and become aware of your breath with a steady flow of air filling your body and releasing in and out through your nose.
3) Bring your attention to your heart. You may wish to place one hand over your heart to bring further attention inside.
4) Breathe into your heart. See/feel and experience all four chambers filling with loving breath.
5) Now bring into your awareness an image of something which creates a sense of joy, compassion or love from any time in your life. Spend a moment filling in the details with sounds, feelings, taste…all of your senses.
6) When you have done this, take a quick note of what your body is reporting. Are you smiling? Do you feel more relaxed? Good. You’ve done it.
7) Now radiate this feeling throughout your body. Give special attention to areas of your body that need support.
8. Continue expanding this feeling into your energy field with each breath.
9) Radiate this feeling even more expansively by sending this energy to your loved ones, your community, to any one or any place you feel needs this loving heart energy. This can include another country, someone who is suffering, the leaders of a country, and finally send this energy to someone with whom you have a difference. You are creating space in your awareness and expanding the field for new possibilities in the world.
10) Complete this modality by opening your eyes and expressing gratitude for something in your life. Take in all the beauty and nurturing around you.
Suggestions for using this modality: transition from one activity to another, sitting in rush hour traffic, before a difficult meeting, waiting on a phone line with a recording, meditation, before a collaborative team meeting, closing a team meeting, when you watch the news, caring for any issue personal, family, community or global.
